Nintedanib Soft Gel contains Ninetedanib a kinase inhibitor is used to treat idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF; scarring of the lungs with an unknown cause). It is also used to treat certain types of chronic fibrosing interstitial lung diseases (ILD; an ongoing disease in which there is increased scarring of the lungs).

Indications
● For the treatment of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis
● For the treatment of chronic fibrosing interstitial lung diseases (ILDs) with a progressive phenotype
● For slowing the rate of decline in pulmonary function in patients with systemic sclerosis-associated interstitial lung disease

Mechanism of Action
Nintedanib binds to the intracellular ATP binding pocket of fibroblast growth factor receptors (FGFRs), platelet-derived growth factor receptors (PDGFRs) and vascular endothelial growth factor receptors (VEGFRs) resulting in blockage of the autophosphorylation of these receptors and the downstream signalling cascades.

Warning & Precaution
Lactation: Breastfeeding is not recommended
Pregnancy: Can cause fetal harm when administered to a pregnant woman
Hepatic Impairment: Treatment with Nintedanib Soft Gel is not recommended in patients with moderate (Child Pugh B) or severe (Child Pugh C) hepatic impairment

Drug Interaction
Coadministration of P-GP and CYP3A4 inhibitors may increase nintedanib exposure. Monitor patients closely for tolerability of Nintedanib Soft Gel.

Dosage
You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends.

How To Use Nintedanib Soft Gelatin Capsule: Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it.

Store in a cool, dry & dark Place. Protected from the direct sunlight.
