Netilmicin sulhate Injection 25 mg contains the active substance Netilmicin sulhate is an aminoglycoside antibiotic used for a wide variety of serious bacterial infections. It includes infections of the blood, urinary tract, skin and soft tissues, stomach, intestine, bone, joints, etc. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria responsible for infections.

Indications

● Serious gram–negative infections resistant to Gentamicin.

Mechanism of action
Netilmicin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic. Enzymes that degrade gentamicin and tobramycin do not degrade netilmicin. So, it is active against both gram–positive and gram–negative bacterial infections. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria responsible for infections.

Mode of Administration
Netilmicin is given by qualified healthcare professionals in a hospital setting. It can be given directly into your vein (intravenous) or muscle (intramuscular), or as a drip (infusion).
